Position Overview
The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing residential HVAC systems while representing E & K Heating & Air inside our clients’ homes and through all job documentation. This role requires a high level of trust, professionalism, and technical skill, as technicians manage service calls, communicate with homeowners, and record all work accurately.
This position is ideal for an experienced technician who takes pride in quality work, clear communication, and customer care.
This position is part of our seasonal hiring plan, with interviews and onboarding beginning in late spring as workload increases.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Diagnose and repair residential heating and air conditioning systems
• Perform system maintenance, service, and minor repairs
• Communicate clearly with homeowners about system issues and recommendations
• Document all work, notes, and photos accurately for each job
• Update service details in real time when additional services or approvals are needed
• Maintain professionalism, cleanliness, and respect in every home
• Represent E & K Heating & Air with honesty and integrity on every call
Requirements
Previous HVAC service experience is required
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and manage service calls
Comfort using mobile devices and digital work orders
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Must have a reliable vehicle suitable for transporting tools and equipment
Must provide basic hand tools and standard HVAC service tools
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Physically able to work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments
Schedule
3 to 5 days per week based on workload
Monday through Friday
Business hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Availability is required within this window, with some days starting slightly before or ending after during peak season.
Pay
Pay is based on experience and skill level.
Details will be discussed during the interview process.
Trial Period
All new hires begin with a trial period to ensure a strong fit for both the technician and E & K Heating & Air. This allows time to evaluate work quality, communication, and alignment with company values.
